FJ's Newest Trainer - Lachlan Haines

Such a warm and friendly young man, we love having Lachlan around.  He takes his programs seriously and trains clients like a pro, taking great care to know any injuries or special requirements.

In Lachlan's words :

Alrighty, there are still a few faces that I haven’t met at Fitness Junction so for the ones that do not know me, my name is Lachlan Haines.

Here’s a little bit of information about me for everyone. I’ve lived in the Merewether region since I’ve been young and absolutely love the Newcastle area. Working in the Junction makes it easy for me to travel to work. However, the gym isn’t the only place I work at in The Junction.

You may also see me around the burger restaurant Grill’d and find me flipping patties. If you are a regular customer at Grill’d then don’t let me catch you digging in to one of our burgers or you’ll be paying the price next time I see you at the gym.

Besides work I’m in my final year studying a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science. I undertook work experience here at Fitness Junction as a part of my university placement and was lucky enough to continue working here after the completion of my hours. I was able to let go of my horrific looking green placement polo and join the FJ crew which I am very grateful for.

I have also had experience with working with the Newcastle Knights rugby league club where I gained insight with working alongside the strength and conditioning coaches for the junior development squads. I have a strong passion for sport, mainly being soccer and have played since I can remember. I have spent two seasons as well coaching numerous amounts of soccer to little under 6/7s kids.

I basically enjoy helping people. Whether this be assisting someone in achieving their goals, helping them train in the gym or teaching someone a new skill.

Working at Fitness Junction allows me to do this which is why I enjoy working here and with so many different clients. Anyway, that’s enough from me and I hope to see more of your faces around the gym!
