5 Snacks To Boost Metabolism

Did you know snacking speeds up your metabolism?

By putting a carb with protein at each meal/snack, you avoid sugar crashes which usually result in overeating later in the day.

Here are 5 snacks to keep you and your metabolism energised:

  • Eat an apple. So simple, yet so filling. Apples are full of fibre and easy to carry. Add 12-15 raw nuts for a well-rounded snack.

  • Keep a small container with around 30 mixed raw nuts in your bag/car. Enjoy half with fruit in the mid-morning and the other half in the afternoon.

  • Blueberries. Stir a tablespoon of nut butter with a small handful of blueberries or 2 tablespoons of greek yoghurt.

  • Protein Smoothies. Use a WPI protein, half a banana, ice and water (or unsweetened almond milk)
